Refund Policy

Welcome to TaskAGI ("TaskAGI", "we", "us", or "our"). This Refund Policy explains our refund practices for the TaskAGI automation and AI agents platform ("Service"). Please read this policy carefully to understand our refund practices. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Refund Policy.


1. Overview

1.1. TaskAGI offers different subscription plans with varying refund policies depending on the plan type and payment method.

1.2. This Refund Policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions.

1.3. EU Consumer Rights: If you are an EU consumer, you may have additional rights under EU consumer protection laws (including 14-day cooling-off period for distance contracts) that cannot be waived by this policy.


2. Free Trials and Free Plans

2.1. We offer free trials and a free plan for TaskAGI. During the trial period or on the free plan, you can explore and evaluate the features of the Service without any charge.

2.2. Free Trial:
  • Free trials allow you to test paid features before committing to a subscription
  • No payment is required during the trial period
  • You can cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged
  • If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically billed for your chosen plan

2.3. Free Plan:
  • The free plan has limited features and AI credit allocation
  • Limited to 1 agent (compared to 3 on Personal, 7 on Enterprise/LTD)
  • No refund requests apply as there is no payment

2.4. Free trials and free plans are provided "as is" and are subject to the Terms and Conditions.


3. Paid Subscriptions (Monthly/Annual)

3.1. General Policy: Once a trial period ends or you upgrade to a paid subscription (Personal or Enterprise plan), you will be billed according to your chosen pricing plan.

3.2. No Refunds After Trial Period:
  • TaskAGI does not offer refunds for subscription fees after the trial period ends
  • All subscription payments are non-refundable
  • This applies to both monthly and annual subscriptions

3.3. Cooling-Off Period (EU Consumers):
  • EU consumers may have a 14-day right of withdrawal under EU Distance Selling Directive
  • This right begins from the date of contract conclusion (subscription purchase)
  • To exercise this right, contact hello@taskagi.net within 14 days
  • If you fully used the Service during this period, you may be charged proportionally for usage

3.4. Billing Disputes:
  • If you believe you were incorrectly charged, contact us within 30 days
  • We will investigate and resolve genuine billing errors

3.5. AI Credits:
  • AI credits are consumed when you use integrations and AI models
  • Unused AI credits do NOT roll over upon cancellation or downgrade
  • AI credit purchases are non-refundable


4. Lifetime Deals (LTD) and One-Time Payments

4.1. Lifetime Deals: TaskAGI occasionally offers lifetime access deals through direct one-time payments.

4.2. Refund Policy:
  • Direct LTD Purchases: Subject to the standard EU 14-day cooling-off period (if applicable), otherwise non-refundable

4.3. Lifetime Deal Terms:
  • "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the product, not the user
  • We reserve the right to discontinue the Service with reasonable notice (minimum 90 days)
  • LTD plans are subject to fair use policies
  • LTD benefits may change over time (we will notify users of material changes)

4.4. Grandfathering:
  • Existing LTD users will be grandfathered into their purchased tier
  • Feature changes may occur but core functionality will be maintained


5. Cancellation of Paid Plans

5.1. Right to Cancel: You have the right to cancel your paid subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting hello@taskagi.net.

5.2. Cancellation Process:
  • Log into your TaskAGI account
  • Navigate to Settings > Billing
  • Select "Cancel Subscription"
  • Alternatively, contact hello@taskagi.net to request cancellation

5.3. Effect of Cancellation:
  • Cancellation stops future billing immediately
  • You will NOT receive a refund for the current billing period
  • You will continue to have access to the Service until the end of your current paid period
  • After the current period ends, your account will revert to the Free plan (or be deactivated)

5.4. Partial Month/Year Refunds:
  • We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial billing periods
  • If you cancel mid-billing cycle, you will not receive a refund for unused time

5.5. Reactivation:
  • You can reactivate your subscription at any time
  • Previous pricing may not apply upon reactivation (current pricing will apply)


6. Exceptions and Discretionary Refunds

6.1. Case-by-Case Basis: While our general policy is no refunds, we may consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis in exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to:
  • Technical issues preventing Service access for extended periods
  • Billing errors or duplicate charges
  • Extended service outages (contact support@taskagi.net for details)
  • Compliance with applicable law (consumer protection regulations)

6.2. How to Request Exception:
  • Contact hello@taskagi.net with subject "Refund Request"
  • Provide account details, payment information, and detailed explanation
  • We will review and respond within 5-10 business days

6.3. Discretion Reserved: All refund exceptions are at TaskAGI's sole discretion and do not constitute a waiver of our general no-refund policy.


7. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

7.1. Chargeback Policy:
  • If you initiate a chargeback without first contacting us to resolve the issue, we reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate your account
  • Chargebacks may result in permanent ban from the Service
  • You may be liable for chargeback fees and administrative costs

7.2. Preferred Resolution: We strongly encourage you to contact us first at hello@taskagi.net before initiating a chargeback. We are committed to resolving billing disputes fairly and promptly.

7.3. Fraudulent Chargebacks: Fraudulent or abusive chargeback requests may be reported to payment processors and may affect your ability to use payment services.


8. Downgrades

8.1. Plan Downgrades: You may downgrade from a higher-tier plan (Enterprise) to a lower-tier plan (Personal or Free) at any time.

8.2. Downgrade Effects:
  • Downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You will not receive a refund for the price difference
  • Features not available in the lower tier will become inaccessible
  • Agents exceeding new plan limits may be deactivated or restricted
  • Unused AI credits do not roll over

8.3. Data Retention: Your workflow data and configurations will be retained for 90 days after downgrade, but may become inaccessible if they exceed free/lower-tier limits.


9. Service Discontinuation

9.1. If We Discontinue the Service: In the unlikely event that TaskAGI discontinues the Service entirely:
  • We will provide at least 90 days' advance notice
  • Active paid subscribers will receive a pro-rata refund for unused time (at our discretion)
  • You will have the opportunity to export your data before the Service shuts down

9.2. Acquisition or Merger: If TaskAGI is acquired or merges with another company:
  • Your subscription terms will be honored through the current billing period
  • The acquiring company may offer different terms going forward
  • Refunds will be subject to the new entity's policies


10. Refund Processing

10.1. Refund Method: If a refund is issued (per exceptions in Section 6 or legal requirements):
  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method
  • Processing time: 5-10 business days after approval
  • Additional processing time may be required by your bank/payment provider

10.2. Currency: Refunds will be issued in the currency of the original transaction, subject to currency conversion rates at the time of refund.

10.3. Payment Processor Fees: Payment processor fees (e.g., Stripe, PayPal transaction fees) are non-refundable.


11. Changes to This Refund Policy

11.1. We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on our website.

11.2. Existing Subscribers: Changes to this policy will not retroactively affect existing subscriptions but will apply to renewals and new subscriptions.

11.3. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when changes were last made.
