Is it really free?
Yes. No paid tier, no trial, no credits, no card field anywhere on this page. TaskAGI pays the bill because this page is how people find the Text to Speech Studio. That is the whole arrangement, and it is the only one.
Do I need an account or an email address?
No. No login, no signup, no email gate before the download, no social sign-in, no newsletter checkbox pre-ticked at the bottom. Open the page, type, get audio.
Do you keep what I generate?
No. Your text exists only for the seconds it takes to turn it into audio, and the audio is streamed straight back to your browser without ever being written to a disk. There is no history, no account record and nothing to delete later. Download what you want to keep, because we cannot re-send it — we do not have it.
Which voices are these?
Eleven neural voices: seven American, four British, female and male. We are not claiming they are studio actors. They are clear, natural and good enough for narration, explainers, drafts and accessibility — and you can hear every one of them on this page before committing to anything.
What are the limits?
Per person: none. No daily quota, no character budget, no account to run dry. Per request: 500 characters, so nobody can feed the machine a novel while everyone else waits. Per machine: whatever it can do — when it is busy you wait, and when the day's budget is spent it sleeps until midnight UTC.
How does sharing jump the line?
Post the page to Reddit, X, Facebook, LinkedIn or Hacker News, come back, and confirm. For 24 hours you get 1,000 characters a go and your own lane when the machine is busy. Honour system: your browser remembers, and the server takes your word for it.
Can I use the audio commercially?
Yes — YouTube, ads, courses, IVR, whatever. We claim no rights over the output and add no watermark or spoken attribution. Do check your own platform's disclosure rules for synthetic voices; that part is on you, not us.
Is there an API?
Not here. An open API on a free endpoint gets eaten by scrapers within a day and then the page stops working for people who need it. The Text to Speech Studio has the API, with keys and quotas.
Why is there no contact form?
Because a free tool with a support desk is not free, it is unpriced. If the page is down, it is down and it will come back. If something is broken in a way we would genuinely never notice, email hello@taskagi.net and expect silence unless it matters.
What is the catch?
You occasionally wait for a slot, you see the name TaskAGI, and you might one day become a Studio customer. If you never do, this still cost you nothing. That is the least aggressive catch on the internet.
